We did this - Travel Mail
HankyPanky73 'frickin loved' Mauritius. What more do you need to know?
Most travel sites you see these days are nothing more than booking engines sprinkled with a series of user reviews. They're light on the kind of insight that really brings a destination to life. The Daily Mail asked us to help them fill the gap.
The new TravelMail site we built balances valuable user- generated content with deep expert insight, and includes advertising that's fully context-sensitive. Under the bonnet? Java, Oracle and a FAST enterprise-class search engine (integrated with the Daily Mail's CMS and Teletext database) that gets smarter each time it's used. Together, this technological goodness lets users access destination guides, book online, watch embedded videos and a whole lot more.
So they can explore before they travel - and add their two cents when they get back.
